Welcome QRich

I loved the excitement on Twitter today. Everyone reporting and re-tweeting again and again that Quentin Richardson is coming to the Miami Heat. In exchange, the Timberwolves are taking Center Mark Blount, which I honestly thought nobody would want.

It's not the trade of the season but its a good trade. QRich has an expiring contract, so even though he will make a bit over $9 million, or $2 million more than Blount, his contract will be up in time for next season and the so important free agency summer of Wade, James, Bosh, etc.

In the meantime, we get a decent player who can score and contribute solid minutes. He is also friends and often trains with Dywane Wade and other Heat players, so the chemistry should be good.

It should be a happy summer for Quentin, who was traded four times since the end of last season. Apparently he is the player everybody wants to add, but can also live without. I think he will be a good fit with the Heat and although I'm still disappointed with the lack of activity, this is the type of player that we need to add to the roster.

Welcome to the Miami Heat!

I'm really happy that Q-Rich was added to Heat's roster but I don't think that only with his help we're going to get back at the top. He can be really usefull coming off the bench when Wade is out or maybe as a starter playing 3 but what we really need is a guy that can support Wade like Gasol does for Kobe, and after the end of this last season we could see that O'neal can't do it too well.

I'm not really excited about this. The only good thing I see in it is that now Dwyane's if you want to call NBA best friend is in Miami with him and maybe that means he might stay since his buddy is here. But, as a Heat fan, I HATE IT, we need to stop wasting our time getting players that will be gone probably the next season and get players that will be here for the long run. I mean Richardson has been traded so many time this off season alone it's crazy, if we are doing trades we need to go in for good players that will help us. I rather take my chances with Dorell Wright mess up leg then with a man that I haven't seen play a good game in a real long time. But still welcome Q-Rich to Miami and I'm waiting to see what you contribute to the team.

Ohhh and check out my new blog at www.fiestyliz.blogspot.com :) GO HEAT!!!!
