Back in Business

Hello Heat fans, first of all I wanted to apologize for the long silence here at Heat Daily. I was traveling and very busy, and frankly needed a bit of a break before the season begins. I was very into it all summer and it was very disappointing that we go into the new season without any real improvements on the team. I hope that everyone is focused and healthy and ready to play. 

So we had two pre-season games. I bought my NBA League Pass early to see them, but unfortunately they were not broadcasted, so its hard to tell what really happened other than the fact that we lost both games. No big deal, except for the fact that nobody other than Dwyane Wade or Michael Beasley could score any points. 

I will try to be positive and hopeful for a fun and successful season. As long as we have Dwyane Wade on the team, anything is possible. Iverson Rumor?

Just a rumor, but at least some sort of life signals coming from Miami. I doubt this is close to happening at all. I think both Allen Iverson and the Miami Heat will look for any other possible option before agreeing to a deal. 

The question here is, do we need another player that is almost finished and has such a high risk of getting injured? We saw him last season. How much did he help the Pistons? Or even before that, he did not have the impact he should have had playing at Denver. 

The Heat won't pay Iverson a lot, but anything at this point will be a lot for the Heat if we don't get the help we need. Iverson will also have to adjust to the idea that he is not the MVP of this team, or there will be trouble.

So overall I'm not sure this will be good. I'm a big fan of Iverson and it would be neat to see him play with the Heat jersey, but I'm unsure of how much value he will bring to the team at this point and how much it will end up costing us over the season.
